🐶🐱 Fun Fact Friday! 🌬️☀️
Did you know? Pets don’t sweat like we do! Instead, they cool down mainly by panting.
When your dog (or sometimes even your cat) pants, moisture on their tongue and in their airways evaporates — helping release excess body heat. Their noses and paw pads can sweat a little too, but panting is the real MVP for beating the heat! 😅💨
As temps rise, remember to keep your pets cool, hydrated, and never leave them in a hot car. 🚗🔥
Stay safe & stay cool, furry friends! 🐾💙
🐾 Senior Spotlight! 🐾
As our pets age, regular wellness exams become even more important to catch issues early and keep them comfortable. 🩺✨ Arthritis and joint stiffness are common in senior pets, but there are treatments that can help them stay active and happy!
✅ Schedule your senior pet’s wellness check with us today — let’s help them enjoy their golden years to the fullest! 🌟🐶🐱

☀️ Pet Safety Tip Monday: Summer Heat Edition! ☀️
Hot days are here, and while we love the sunshine, it can be dangerous for our furry friends! 🐶🐱
Here are a few tips to keep your pets safe in the summer heat:
🔹 Never leave pets in parked cars — even for a minute.
🔹 Walk during cooler hours — early morning or evening is best.
🔹 Watch for signs of overheating like excessive panting, drooling, or weakness.
🔹 Paws matter! Test pavement with your hand — if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them.
🔹 Always provide shade and fresh water.
Keep tails wagging and whiskers happy this summer! 😎🐾
If you have concerns about heatstroke or hydration, give us a call!
🐾 Take Your Dog to Work Day is here!

🎉 Fun Fact Friday! 🎉
Did you know that microchipping your pet is one of the most effective ways to help them get home if they’re ever lost? 🐶🐱
🔍 How it works: A microchip is a tiny device (about the size of a grain of rice) implanted just under your pet’s skin—usually between the shoulder blades. It holds a unique ID number that can be read with a scanner at vet clinics or shelters.
📡 Why it matters: Unlike collars or tags, a microchip can’t fall off or be removed. If your pet is found and scanned, your contact info (linked to the chip through a registry) helps reunite you quickly.
✅ Pro tip: Make sure your contact info is always up to date in the microchip registry!
📍Questions about microchipping? We’re happy to help—just give us a call or stop by!
🛑 Monday Wellness Tip: Don’t Let Fleas & Ticks Take a Bite Out of Your Pet’s Health! 🐾
Fleas and ticks aren’t just a nuisance—they can cause serious health problems like skin infections, Lyme disease, and even anemia. 😧
✅ Prevent discomfort
✅ Protect against disease
✅ Keep your home pest-free
Year-round prevention is the best defense! Call us about the right treatment for your pet. 🐶🐱

Today, we pause to remember and honor the courageous men and women who gave their lives in service to our country — and the loyal military working animals who stood by their side.
At Midtown, we are deeply grateful for the sacrifices made to protect our freedom. 🐾❤️
As we reflect today, may we also extend care, kindness, and gratitude to the veterans, families, and animals who continue to serve and support our communities.
